Here is a demo showing OctaGate Switch running a Server Cluster containing three web
applications. New sessions will be routed to the least loaded server. For demo
purposes, we've set the session time out to five seconds. That means that if you
refresh the demo quickly (more often than five seconds) you will stay connected
to the same server indefinately. But if you don't refresh for five seconds
you may be routed to a less loaded server if there is one.
NOTE: You should never set the connection time out value to five seconds in a
production cluster, because no sessions would be persistent. Note the warning at
the top of the picture below.
