Opening OctaGate Switch™ Web Admin (OGWA)
Previous  Top  Next

In the Windows Start menu, in the folder OctaGate Switch™, there is an item called "OctaGate Switch™ Web Admin". If you click it, a small program checks to see if OctaGate Switch™ is running. If not you will see a message telling you so. If OctaGate Switch™ is running, you will see the login prompt in your internet browser.

To start OGWA from a browser you need to know the address or IP number to the server that is running OctaGate Switch™, and the port number that OGWA listens on. When you installed OctaGate Switch™, you entered a port number, user name and password. That is the information required here. If you start the browser on the same machine that runs OctaGate Switch™, you can enter the following in your browsers address field.

http://127.0.0.1:19721/

127.0.0.1 is the IP address of the local machine. This IP will always refer to the local machine even if it has another IP assigned to it.

19721 is the default OctaGate Switch™ port number. If you entered another number during the installation, you should enter that number instead.
